Ike & Tina Turner were an American musical duo consisting of the husband-and-wife team Ike Turner and Tina Turner. They were prominent figures in the world of R&B, soul, and rock music during the 1960s and 1970s. Ike Turner was a talented musician, songwriter, and producer, while Tina Turner was known for her powerful vocals and electrifying stage presence.


The duo's most famous songs include "Proud Mary" and "River Deep ΓÇô Mountain High." They were known for their dynamic live performances and the energetic chemistry between Ike and Tina on stage. Despite their musical success, their personal relationship was tumultuous, with reports of domestic violence and abuse. Tina eventually left Ike in 1976 and went on to achieve even greater success as a solo artist. Ike & Tina Turner were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
