The duo rose to fame in the 1960s and 1970s with hits such as "Proud Mary" and "River Deep ΓÇô Mountain High."
Tina Turner's powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence were a defining feature of their performances, while Ike Turner was known for his skills as a musician and bandleader. Despite their success, the duo faced personal and professional challenges, including allegations of domestic abuse. Tina Turner eventually left Ike in the late 1970s and went on to have a successful solo career. Ike & Tina Turner were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.
