The group originally consisted of members Marques "Batman" Houston, Jerome "Romeo" Jones, and Kelton "LDB" Kessee. They were discovered by record producer Chris Stokes, who helped guide their career and get them signed to MCA Records. Immature gained popularity in the 1990s with hits like "Never Lie" and "Constantly," which helped establish them as a successful R&B group in the music industry.
The group eventually changed their name to IMx in the late 1990s to reflect their transition from teenagers to young adults. IMx continued to release music and found success with albums like "Introducing IMx" and "IMx." Over the years, the members pursued individual projects in music, acting, and other ventures, with Marques Houston achieving success as a solo artist and actor.
