Artist Bio:
INXS was an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Garry Gary Beers on bass guitar, Andrew Farriss on keyboards and guitar, Jon Farriss on drums, Tim Farriss on lead guitar, Kirk Pengilly on guitar and saxophone, and Michael Hutchence as the lead vocalist. INXS achieved international success in the 1980s and 1990s with hits like "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," and "Never Tear Us Apart."
INXS released a total of 12 studio albums, with their most successful being "Kick" in 1987, which sold over 6 million copies in the US alone. The band won numerous awards throughout their career, including multiple MTV Video Music Awards and Brit Awards. Tragically, lead singer Michael Hutchence died by suicide in 1997, leading to the disbandment of INXS in 2012. Despite Hutchence's passing, the band's music continues to be celebrated and remembered for its distinctive sound and energetic performances.
