INXS was an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Garry Gary Beers on bass guitar, brothers Andrew Farriss on guitar and keyboards, Jon Farriss on drums, Tim Farriss on lead guitar, and Kirk Pengilly on guitar and saxophone. The band's charismatic frontman, Michael Hutchence, was known for his distinctive voice and stage presence. INXS achieved worldwide success in the 1980s and 1990s with hits like "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," and "Devil Inside."
INXS won numerous awards throughout their career, including multiple MTV Video Music Awards and Brit Awards. The band's music blended elements of new wave, rock, and pop, making them a staple of the 1980s music scene. Tragically, lead singer Michael Hutchence passed away in 1997, leading to the eventual disbandment of INXS.
