The band's original line-up consisted of Garry Gary Beers on bass guitar, brothers Andrew Farriss on guitar and keyboards, Jon Farriss on drums, Tim Farriss on lead guitar, Kirk Pengilly on guitar and saxophone, and Michael Hutchence as the lead vocalist. INXS achieved worldwide fame in the 1980s and 1990s with a series of hit albums and singles, including "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," and "Devil Inside."
The band's unique sound blended elements of new wave, rock, and funk, making them one of the most successful acts to come out of Australia. INXS won multiple awards throughout their career, including several MTV Video Music Awards and Brit Awards. Tragically, lead singer Michael Hutchence passed away in 1997, leading to the eventual disbandment of INXS. Despite Hutchence's death, the band's music continues to be celebrated by fans around the world.
