Artist Bio:
Iron Butterfly is an American rock band formed in San Diego, California in 1966. The band is best known for their iconic song "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," which was released in 1968 and is considered one of the first heavy metal songs. The track, featuring a 17-minute long drum solo, became a massive hit and is often cited as a classic of the psychedelic rock genre.

The original members of Iron Butterfly included Doug Ingle, Ron Bushy, Lee Dorman, and Danny Weis. Over the years, the band underwent several lineup changes, with Ingle being the only constant member. Iron Butterfly has released a total of nine studio albums, with their music blending elements of hard rock, psychedelia, and progressive rock. Despite various breaks and reunions, Iron Butterfly remains a significant name in the history of rock music.
