He gained recognition in the mid-2000s with his hit single "Bed" from his debut album "Back of My Lac'" released in 2007. The song peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album. Holiday's smooth vocals and sensual lyrics contributed to his success in the R&B music scene.
Following the success of his debut album, J. Holiday released two more albums, "Round 2" in 2009 and "Guilty Conscience" in 2014.
