Jack Scott was an American singer and songwriter born on January 24, 1936, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. He was best known for his rock and roll and rockabilly music during the late 1950s and early 1960s. Scott achieved several hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, including "My True Love," "Leroy," and "Goodbye Baby." His music was characterized by its raw and emotional delivery, often drawing on themes of love and heartbreak.


In addition to his success on the music charts, Jack Scott also had a successful career as a songwriter, penning songs for himself as well as other artists. He was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2011.
