Jackie Wilson was an American singer born on June 9, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on January 21, 1984. He was known for his dynamic stage presence and powerful voice, often referred to as "Mr. Excitement." Wilson was a prominent figure in the transition from rhythm and blues to soul music in the 1950s and 1960s. Some of his hit songs include "Lonely Teardrops," "Higher and Higher," and "Reet Petite." Wilson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987.


Count Basie, born William James Basie on August 21, 1904, in Red Bank, New Jersey, was an American jazz pianist, organist, bandleader, and composer. He is considered one of the greatest jazz bandleaders of all time, known for his distinctive piano style and leading one of the most successful big bands in jazz history, the Count Basie Orchestra. Count Basie passed away on April 26, 1984, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of jazz music.
