Jackie Wilson was an American soul singer and performer who was born on June 9, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan. He rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s with hits such as "Lonely Teardrops" and "Higher and Higher." Wilson was known for his dynamic stage presence and powerful vocals, earning him the nickname "Mr. Excitement." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987. Wilson's career was tragically cut short when he suffered a heart attack on stage in 1975, leaving him in a coma until his death in 1984.


Linda Hopkins was an American blues and gospel singer and actress, born on December 14, 1924, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her career as a gospel singer before transitioning to blues and jazz. Hopkins gained recognition for her performances in Broadway musicals such as "Me and Bessie" and "Black and Blue." She won a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role in "Inner City" in 1972. Hopkins continued to perform and record music well into her later years, showcasing her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. She passed away on April 10, 2017, leaving behind a legacy of soulful performances and contributions to the music industry.
