Wilson was often referred to as "Mr. Excitement" due to his energetic and charismatic stage presence. He was known for hits such as "Lonely Teardrops," "Higher and Higher," and "Reet Petite."
Wilson was a trailblazer in the music industry, known for his smooth vocals and electrifying performances. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and is considered one of the greatest soul singers of all time. Wilson's influence can be seen in many artists who came after him, and his music continues to be celebrated and recognized for its impact on the genre.
