Jackson Browne is an American singer-songwriter and musician born on October 9, 1948, in Heidelberg, Germany. He is known for his introspective lyrics and his blend of rock, folk, and country music. Browne released his self-titled debut album in 1972, which included the hit song "Doctor My Eyes." He went on to release several successful albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including "Late for the Sky," "The Pretender," and "Running on Empty."
Browne is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is also known for his activism and involvement in various social and political causes. Browne continues to tour and release new music, with his most recent album, "Downhill from Everywhere," being released in 2021.
