James & Bobby Purify were an R&B duo composed of cousins James Lee Purify and Robert Lee Dickey. They were active in the 1960s and are best known for their hit single "I'm Your Puppet," which reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1966. The song was produced by legendary songwriter and producer Dan Penn.
