Artist Bio:
Jan & Dean were an American rock duo consisting of Jan Berry and Dean Torrence. They found success in the early 1960s with their surf music hits and were closely associated with the California surf rock sound. Their most famous songs include "Surf City," "Dead Man's Curve," and "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena." Jan & Dean were known for their close harmonies and catchy tunes that captured the spirit of the surfing and hot rod culture of the time.

The duo's career was tragically cut short in 1966 when Jan Berry was involved in a serious car accident that left him with brain damage. Despite this, Jan & Dean's music continues to be celebrated and remembered as a key part of the surf rock genre. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2008.
