Artist Bio:
Jan & Dean were an American rock duo consisting of Jan Berry and Dean Torrence. They found success in the 1960s with their surf music and vocal harmonies. Their biggest hit was "Surf City" in 1963, which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They were also known for other popular songs such as "Dead Man's Curve" and "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena." Jan & Dean were part of the California surf music scene and were often associated with fellow musicians like The Beach Boys.

Jan & Dean's career was cut short when Jan Berry was involved in a serious car accident in 1966, which left him with brain damage. Despite the setback, they continued to perform and record music sporadically over the years. Jan & Dean were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2008. Their music continues to be celebrated for its contribution to the surf music genre and the overall sound of 1960s rock and roll.
