Artist Bio:
Jan & Dean were an American rock duo consisting of Jan Berry and Dean Torrence. They found success in the early 1960s with their surf music style, often drawing comparisons to fellow California band, The Beach Boys. Some of their most popular songs include "Surf City," "Dead Man's Curve," and "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena." Jan & Dean were known for their harmonized vocals and catchy melodies, which helped them become prominent figures in the surf rock genre.

Tragically, Jan Berry was involved in a near-fatal car accident in 1966, which left him with brain damage and limited his ability to perform. Despite this setback, the duo continued to make music together, with Dean often taking on a larger role in the production and performance aspects. Jan & Dean were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2008, recognizing their contributions to the music industry.
