Artist Bio:
Jan & Dean were an American rock duo consisting of Jan Berry and Dean Torrence. They found fame in the early 1960s with their surf music and vocal harmonies. The duo's biggest hits included "Surf City," "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena," and "Dead Man's Curve." They were part of the surf music craze and were known for their catchy and upbeat songs that captured the spirit of the California beach culture.

Tragically, Jan Berry was involved in a near-fatal car accident in 1966, which left him with brain damage and affected his ability to perform. Despite this setback, Jan & Dean continued to record and perform, with Torrence often taking on a larger role in the duo. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2008. Jan & Dean's music continues to be celebrated for its contribution to the surf rock genre and the sound of 1960s pop music.
