Artist Bio:
Jan & Dean were an American rock duo consisting of Jan Berry and Dean Torrence. They were popular in the 1960s, known for their surf music and songs that captured the California beach lifestyle. The duo's biggest hit was "Surf City," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1963. They were also known for other top ten hits such as "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" and "Drag City."

In addition to their music career, Jan & Dean were also involved in the production and writing of songs for other artists. The duo's career was tragically cut short in 1966 after Jan Berry was seriously injured in a car accident, which left him with brain damage. Despite the challenges, Jan & Dean left a lasting impact on the music industry with their catchy surf rock tunes and contributions to the California sound of the 1960s.
