Artist Bio:
Janis Joplin was an American singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the late 1960s as the lead singer of the psychedelic rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company. Known for her powerful and distinctive voice, Joplin was one of the most prominent female rock stars of her era. She later pursued a successful solo career, releasing albums like "Pearl" and "I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama!".

Joplin was known for her raw and emotional performances, often incorporating elements of blues, soul, and rock into her music. Tragically, she passed away in 1970 at the age of 27 due to a heroin overdose. Despite her short career, Janis Joplin left a lasting impact on the music industry and is remembered as one of the greatest female rock singers of all time.
