Artist Bio:
Jay & The Americans were a pop rock group formed in 1962 in Queens, New York. The original members included Jay Traynor, Howard Kane, Kenny Vance, and Sandy Deanne. They are best known for their hits in the 1960s such as "She Cried," "Come a Little Bit Closer," and "This Magic Moment."


The group's biggest hit came in 1969 with "This Magic Moment," which reached the 6th position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jay & The Americans were known for their tight harmonies and catchy melodies, which helped them gain popularity during the 1960s music scene. They continued to perform and release music throughout the years, with different lineup changes, and were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002.
