Artist Bio:
Jay & The Americans were an American rock band formed in 1961 in Queens, New York. The original members were Jay Black (lead singer), Howard Kane, Kenny Vance, and Sandy Deanne. They achieved success in the 1960s with hits like "She Cried," "Come a Little Bit Closer," and "Cara Mia."


The band's sound was a mix of pop, rock, and doo-wop, and they were known for their tight harmonies and energetic live performances. Jay & The Americans were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002 and continue to perform, with various lineup changes, to this day, keeping the legacy of their nostalgic music alive.
