Artist Bio:
Jay & The Americans is an American rock band that was formed in 1961 in New York City. The group originally consisted of members Jay Black, Howard Kane, Kenny Vance, and Sandy Deanne. They are known for their smooth vocal harmonies and hits such as "She Cried," "Come a Little Bit Closer," and "Cara Mia." The band's name was inspired by the fact that three of the original members were Jewish, and they wanted a name that would appeal to a broad audience.

Jay & The Americans achieved success in the 1960s and 1970s, with several of their songs reaching the top of the charts. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002. Despite some lineup changes over the years, the band continues to perform and tour, keeping their nostalgic sound alive for both longtime fans and new audiences.
