Artist Bio:
Jeanne Pruett is an American country music singer and songwriter. She was born on January 30, 1937, in Pell City, Alabama. Pruett is best known for her hit song "Satin Sheets," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 1973. The song also crossed over to the pop charts, reaching the top 30.


Pruett began her music career in the 1950s, performing in local clubs and on radio shows. She signed with RCA Records in the late 1960s and released several albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s. In addition to "Satin Sheets," Pruett had several other charting singles, including "Hold On to My Unchanging Love" and "Temporarily Yours." She was also a member of the Grand Ole Opry, where she performed regularly.
