Artist Bio:
Jeannie C. Riley is an American country and gospel singer who rose to fame with her hit song "Harper Valley PTA" in 1968. Born in 1945 in Texas, she began her music career performing in local clubs before being discovered by country music producer Shelby Singleton. "Harper Valley PTA" became a massive success, topping both the country and pop charts, making Riley the first woman to achieve such a feat.

Following the success of "Harper Valley PTA," Riley continued to release music throughout the 1970s and 1980s, with several more hits on the country charts. She also ventured into gospel music, releasing albums in that genre. Riley's distinctive voice and storytelling abilities have earned her a lasting place in country music history. She was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016, recognizing her contributions to the genre.
