Jermaine Stewart was an American pop singer, songwriter, and dancer who rose to fame in the 1980s. He was born on September 7, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, and began his music career as a member of the band Shalamar before pursuing a solo career. Stewart's breakthrough came with his hit single "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off" in 1986, which reached the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.


Stewart released three studio albums during his career, with his most successful being "Frantic Romantic" in 1986. In addition to his music, he was known for his flamboyant style and energetic dance performances. Tragically, Jermaine Stewart passed away on March 17, 1997, at the age of 39 due to AIDS-related liver cancer. Despite his untimely death, his music continues to be celebrated by fans of 1980s pop music.
