Jermaine Stewart was an American pop singer, best known for his hit songs in the 1980s. He was born on September 7, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio, and began his music career as a dancer for the group Shalamar. Stewart gained fame as a solo artist with his 1986 album "Frantic Romantic," which featured the hit single "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off," reaching the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.


Stewart continued to release music throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, with other popular songs including "Jody" and "Say It Again." Tragically, Jermaine Stewart passed away on March 17, 1997, at the young age of 39 due to complications from AIDS. Despite his untimely death, Jermaine Stewart's music continues to be celebrated and remembered by fans of 1980s pop music.
