Jerry Lee Lewis is an American singer-songwriter and pianist, born on September 29, 1935, in Ferriday, Louisiana. He is known for his energetic piano playing and his pioneering role in the rock and roll genre. Lewis rose to fame in the 1950s with hits such as "Great Balls of Fire" and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On."


Lewis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986 and is often referred to as "The Killer" for his wild stage presence and charismatic performances. Despite his turbulent personal life and controversies, Jerry Lee Lewis remains a respected and influential figure in the history of rock and roll music.
