Jet is an Australian rock band formed in 2001 in Melbourne. The band consists of lead guitarist Cameron Muncey, bassist Mark Wilson, drummer Chris Cester, and lead vocalist Nic Cester. Jet gained international fame with their debut album "Get Born" released in 2003, which included hit singles like "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" and "Cold Hard Bitch". The album was a commercial success, reaching platinum status in multiple countries.
Jet continued to release albums throughout the 2000s, including "Shine On" in 2006 and "Shaka Rock" in 2009. The band's music is often characterized by its energetic and raw rock sound, drawing influence from classic rock bands like The Rolling Stones and AC/DC. Jet announced their hiatus in 2012 but reunited in 2016 for a series of live performances. Despite not being actively recording new music, Jet remains a popular and influential rock band with a dedicated fan base.
