Jim Stafford is an American singer, songwriter, and actor born on January 16, 1944, in Florida. He is best known for his humorous country and pop music that often features clever wordplay and storytelling. Stafford rose to fame in the 1970s with hits like "Spiders & Snakes" and "Swamp Witch." He also had a successful television career, hosting his own variety show, "The Jim Stafford Show," in 1975.


In addition to his music career, Stafford has appeared in several films and TV shows, including a role in the cult classic film "Any Which Way You Can" alongside Clint Eastwood. He continues to perform live and has a theater in Branson, Missouri, where he regularly entertains audiences with his unique blend of music and comedy.
