Artist Bio

Artist Bio:
Jimmie Beaumont, born James William Beaumont on October 21, 1941, was an American singer and songwriter best known for his 1961 hit single "Tell Me Why." The song reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was released under the label May Records. Despite the success of "Tell Me Why," Beaumont did not achieve further notable commercial success in the music industry.

After his initial success in the early 1960s, Beaumont continued to perform and record music, releasing several singles throughout the 1960s and 1970s. However, he never reached the same level of success as he did with his hit song "Tell Me Why." Beaumont's music is often associated with the doo-wop and pop genres popular during the era in which he was active as a musician.
