Jimmy Dean was an American country music singer, television host, actor, and businessman. He was born on August 10, 1928, in Plainview, Texas, and passed away on June 13, 2010, in Varina, Virginia. Dean rose to fame in the 1960s with his hit song "Big Bad John," which won him a Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording.


In addition to his music career, Jimmy Dean also found success as a television personality, hosting his own variety show, "The Jimmy Dean Show," which aired from 1963 to 1966. He also appeared in several films and television shows, including the James Bond film "Diamonds Are Forever." Dean was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010, recognizing his significant contributions to the country music genre.
