Jimmy Dean was an American country music singer, television host, actor, and businessman. He was born on August 10, 1928, in Plainview, Texas, and passed away on June 13, 2010, in Varina, Virginia. Dean gained fame in the 1960s with his country music career, with hits such as "Big Bad John" and "PT-109".
In addition to his music career, Jimmy Dean was also known for his television show, "The Jimmy Dean Show", which aired from 1963 to 1966. He was also a successful businessman, founding the Jimmy Dean Sausage Company in 1969, which became known for its popular sausage products. Dean was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010, shortly before his passing.
