Artist Bio:
Jimmy Dean was an American country music singer, television host, and actor. He was born on August 10, 1928, in Plainview, Texas, and passed away on June 13, 2010, in Varina, Virginia. Dean began his music career in the 1950s and achieved mainstream success in the 1960s with hits such as "Big Bad John" and "PT-109". "Big Bad John" won him a Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording in 1962.


Apart from his music career, Jimmy Dean was also known for hosting his own television show, "The Jimmy Dean Show," which aired from 1963 to 1966. He became a successful businessman as well, launching the Jimmy Dean Sausage Company in 1969. Dean was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010, shortly before his passing.
