Artist Bio:
Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs were an American rock and roll group who achieved success in the 1960s. They were best known for their hit song "Sugar Shack," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1963. The song sold over one million copies and was awarded a gold disc.

The Fireballs originally formed in Raton, New Mexico in the late 1950s, with members George Tomsco, Chuck Tharp, Stan Lark, Eric Budd, and Dan Trammell. Jimmy Gilmer later joined the group as their vocalist. In addition to "Sugar Shack," the band also had other hits such as "Bottle of Wine" and "Daisy Petal Pickin'." The Fireballs' unique blend of rock and roll, pop, and country music helped them stand out in the music scene of the time.
