Jimmy Holiday was an American singer, songwriter, and producer, born on July 24, 1934, in Alabama. He began his music career in the 1950s, singing in gospel groups before transitioning to rhythm and blues and soul music. Holiday released several singles throughout the 1960s, including "How Can I Forget" and "The Turning Point," which helped establish him as a prominent figure in the soul music scene.


In addition to his solo career, Jimmy Holiday also co-wrote several hit songs, including "Put a Little Love in Your Heart" with Jackie DeShannon. Holiday's music career was cut short when he passed away at the age of 32 on February 15, 1967. Despite his premature death, Jimmy Holiday's contributions to soul music continue to be celebrated, and his songs have been covered by various artists over the years.
