Artist Bio:
Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers was a British novelty pop music act that was active in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The group was formed by music producers John Pickles and Ian Morgan, who created a series of megamixes that combined popular songs from different eras into dance tracks. They released their debut album, "Jive Bunny: The Album" in 1989, which was a massive success, reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart and spawning several hit singles.
Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers' signature sound was characterized by fast-paced medleys that featured samples of rock and roll, swing, and pop songs from the 1950s to the 1980s. Their music appealed to a wide audience and became popular in clubs, on the radio, and at parties. Despite facing criticism for their use of samples and accusations of plagiarism, Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers remained a popular act, releasing several more albums before disbanding in the mid-1990s.
