Artist Bio:
Jo Ann Campbell was an American singer and actress who rose to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s. She was born on July 20, 1938, in Jacksonville, Florida. Campbell began her music career as a teenager and signed with the record label Gone Records in 1958. She released several singles that achieved moderate success on the Billboard charts, including "I'm Nobody's Baby" and "A Kookie Little Paradise."


In addition to her music career, Jo Ann Campbell also appeared in several films and television shows during the 1960s. She had roles in movies such as "Go, Johnny, Go!" and "The Beat Generation." Campbell's music career slowed down in the 1970s, but she continued to perform occasionally at oldies shows and music festivals. Jo Ann Campbell passed away on April 19, 2020, at the age of 81.
