Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are an American rock band formed in 1979 by Joan Jett, who is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist. The band's most well-known lineup consists of Joan Jett on vocals and guitar, Dougie Needles on guitar, Hal Selzer on drums, and Acey Slade on bass. They are best known for their hit songs "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," "Bad Reputation," and "Crimson and Clover."
Joan Jett & the Blackhearts achieved commercial success in the 1980s and were known for their energetic live performances and Jett's rebellious image. They have released several albums over the years and have continued to tour and perform to this day. Joan Jett is considered a trailblazer for women in rock music and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
