Jodeci is an American R&B group that was formed in 1983 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The group consists of two sets of brothers: Cedric and Joel Hailey (also known as K-Ci and JoJo) and Donald and Dalvin DeGrate. Jodeci gained fame in the early 1990s for their soulful ballads and edgy hip-hop beats, mixing elements of gospel, soul, and new jack swing in their music.
Jodeci released three successful albums in the 1990s: "Forever My Lady" (1991), "Diary of a Mad Band" (1993), and "The Show, the After Party, the Hotel" (1995). They are known for hits such as "Come and Talk to Me," "Forever My Lady," and "Freek'n You." Despite their success, the group faced internal struggles and went on hiatus in the late 1990s. In 2014, Jodeci made a comeback with a new album titled "The Past, The Present, The Future," marking their return to the music scene.
