Jodeci is an American R&B group that formed in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1989. The group consists of two pairs of brothers: Cedric "K-Ci" Hailey and Joel "JoJo" Hailey, and Donald "DeVante Swing" DeGrate Jr. and Dalvin "Mr. Dalvin" DeGrate. They are known for their soulful harmonies and fusion of R&B, hip hop, and new jack swing music styles. Jodeci gained popularity in the early 1990s with hits such as "Forever My Lady" and "Come and Talk to Me."
The group released three successful albums in the 1990s: "Forever My Lady" (1991), "Diary of a Mad Band" (1993), and "The Show, The After Party, The Hotel" (1995). Jodeci's music has been influential in the R&B genre, and they are considered pioneers of the new jack swing sound. Despite going on hiatus in the late 1990s, Jodeci reunited in 2014 and have continued to perform and release new music.
