Joe Diffie was an American country music singer and songwriter born on December 28, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He rose to fame in the 1990s with a string of hits that included songs like "Pickup Man," "Third Rock from the Sun," and "John Deere Green." Diffie's music was known for its traditional country sound, and he was often praised for his distinctive voice and clever lyrics.


Throughout his career, Joe Diffie released 13 studio albums and had more than 20 Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry and won a Grammy Award for his collaboration on the song "Same Old Train" with several other country artists. Diffie passed away on March 29, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19. His legacy lives on through his timeless country music hits that continue to be celebrated by fans of the genre.
