Joe Diffie was an American country music singer known for his honky-tonk style and hits in the 1990s. He was born on December 28, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and began his music career in the late 1980s. Diffie released his debut album, "A Thousand Winding Roads," in 1990, which included his first hit single, "Home." Throughout his career, Diffie had 18 Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including songs like "If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets)" and "Third Rock from the Sun."


Diffie's music often featured clever wordplay and a traditional country sound, earning him a loyal fan base. He won a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1998 for his duet with Marty Stuart on "Same Old Train." Joe Diffie passed away on March 29, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19, leaving behind a legacy of memorable country music hits.
