Joe Diffie was an American country music singer and songwriter. He was born on December 28, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and he passed away on March 29, 2020, in Nashville, Tennessee. Diffie released his debut album, "A Thousand Winding Roads," in 1990, which featured his first hit single, "Home." Throughout his career, he had a string of hits on the country music charts, including songs like "If the Devil Danced (In Empty Pockets)," "Third Rock from the Sun," and "Pickup Man."
Diffie was known for his traditional country sound and his distinctive voice. He won a Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 1998 for his performance on the song "Same Old Train" with several other country artists. In addition to his successful music career, Diffie was also a member of the Grand Ole Opry, cementing his place in country music history.
