He was known for his powerful voice and energetic stage presence, which made him a key figure in the development of rhythm and blues music. Turner began his career in the 1930s, performing in the Kansas City blues scene before gaining national recognition in the 1940s and 1950s.
Turner is best known for his hit songs such as "Shake, Rattle and Roll" and "Chains of Love." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 in recognition of his influence on the genre. Turner continued to perform and record music until his death on November 24, 1985, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of blues and rock and roll music.
