Joey McIntyre is an American singer, songwriter, and actor, best known as a member of the popular boy band New Kids on the Block (NKOTB). Born on December 31, 1972, in Needham, Massachusetts, McIntyre joined NKOTB in 1985 at the age of 12. The group achieved great success in the late 1980s and early 1990s, releasing hit songs like "Hangin' Tough" and "Step by Step."
After NKOTB disbanded in 1994, McIntyre pursued a solo music career, releasing several albums including "Stay the Same" in 1999 and "Talk to Me" in 2006. In addition to his music career, McIntyre has also ventured into acting, appearing in TV shows like "Boston Public" and "The McCarthys." He has also performed in musicals on Broadway, including "Wicked" and "Waitress." McIntyre continues to release music and perform both as a solo artist and with NKOTB on reunion tours.
