John Baldry, also known as Long John Baldry, was an influential British blues singer and musician. He was born on January 12, 1941, in East Haddon, Northamptonshire, England, and passed away on July 21, 2005. Baldry was a pioneering figure in the British blues scene in the 1960s, known for his deep voice and charismatic stage presence.


Baldry was a mentor to many aspiring musicians, including Rod Stewart and Elton John, who both played in his band Bluesology before launching their own successful solo careers.
