John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band is an American rock band formed in Rhode Island in the late 1970s. The band is best known for their contributions to the soundtrack of the 1983 film "Eddie and the Cruisers." John Cafferty serves as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band, while the other members include Gary Gramolini on lead guitar, Pat Lupo on bass, Kenny Jo Silva on drums, and Bobby Cotoia on keyboards. Their music is often described as heartland rock, with a sound influenced by artists like Bruce Springsteen and Bob Seger.


The band achieved commercial success with their song "On the Dark Side," which was featured in "Eddie and the Cruisers" and reached the top of the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. They also had other hits such as "Tender Years" and "C-I-T-Y."
