John Fogerty is an American musician, singer, and songwriter best known for being the lead vocalist and lead guitarist of the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). Born on May 28, 1945, in Berkeley, California, Fogerty wrote and produced many of CCR's biggest hits, including "Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," and "Fortunate Son."
After CCR disbanded in 1972, Fogerty pursued a successful solo career. He released several albums, with his 1985 album "Centerfield" producing hits like the title track and "The Old Man Down the Road." Fogerty was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 for his work with CCR. Known for his distinctive voice and guitar playing, Fogerty's music continues to be celebrated by fans and critics alike.
