Johnny Bond was an American country music singer and songwriter born on June 1, 1915, in Enville, Oklahoma. He is best known for his hit songs "Divorce Me C.O.D." and "Stars of the Midnight Range." Bond started his music career in the 1930s and was a member of Gene Autry's Melody Ranch and Jimmy Wakely's band. He later signed with Columbia Records and released numerous successful singles and albums throughout the 1940s and 1950s.
Aside from his music career, Johnny Bond also appeared in several Western films, including "Texas, Brooklyn and Heaven" and "The Old Barn Dance." He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999. Johnny Bond passed away on June 12, 1978, leaving behind a legacy as a talented musician and songwriter in the country music genre.
